Here you can find all the stuff that didn’t quite fit in the other galleries. As always, click on the scans to get bigger versions. Some rarely seen stuff here.......

Splash page from Harlem Heroes from Prog # 1 and another splash from the issue featuring the first appearance of Judge Dredd. Very cool 2000AD art from Dave. Many thanks to the very happy owner of these pages Allen Richardson for sharing these scans.

Another blast from the past. The artwork above is from Brian Bolland, but Dave did the design work on the Powerman character. Check out an interview with Brian Bolland at http://www.brianbolland.com/ah3.html about the details of this collaboration. Interesting stuff

A Blast from the Past ;-) These are some very early illustrations from Dave done for Fantasy Advertiser. Those were the times Dave did a lot of illustrations for Fanzines. Check out Gibbos Clearance Sale on the left for some incredible comic prices. Thanks very much to Peter Hansen for sharing these images. Anybody who still has some of Dave’s old work lying around, please feel free to e-mail me and send me some scans. I would love to include more of this stuff.

Original pages from Watchmen in their black and white glory. Including key moments like an interesting discovery of Rohrschach and Ozymandias doing “it”. Wonderful pages. Wish i could afford one. Many thanks for Richard Martines for supplying some of these scans and for letting me use them here.

The Owl piece from the Watchmen portfolio. This portfolio is maybe the best work Dave ever did. Really really beautiful.

Splash page from the Savage Hulk issue. HULK FREE !

Color piece from Give me liberty. Done in the same style as the Watchmen portfolio plates(see The Owl on the left). Kids beware, some nudity shown.

A nice sequence of the Just imagine Green Lantern transforming and saving a reporter from a giant monster. Thanks a lot to Mitch Itkowitz for these scans. Check out www.graphiccollectibles.com for lots of nice artwork and for pages above also if you want them all for yourself ;-)

Another rarely seen image from the Andrew Vachss written “Another chance to get it right “

Great image from the War Story written by Garth Ennis with art from Dave. Track down this issue. The backgrounds alone are worth the price and the story is good too.

Will Eisner’s The Spirit.FANTASTIC !!!!!  This is one of my favorite images Dave has created. I would love to own the poster this image was done for.

Dave’s pencilled and inked version of the Visions of Freedom card featuring Martha Washington. A rare chance to compare his pencil to his ink work. Thanks to Enrico for letting me use these images. Check out his website at www.redsectorart.com for lots of cool art.

A very cool image of Rorschach done for the COMICS 2001 Festival Charity Project - The Deck Of Cards in Bristol. The original art for the card was auctioned of for $1500, although It was just half of Rohrschach’s face on a small piece of paper (it was copied and coloured on the computer). Sorry, no bigger scan available :-(

Plate from the Watchmen portfolio. This is THE Watchmen piece. If Dave would ever do commissions, i would give him everything for  a recreation of this piece with Rohrschach, the Owl and Dr. Manhattan in front. Just dreaming.............
